Alondra Sunset Art Coat

The coat that does the talking.

Meet the Alondra — the coat people stop you about. An impressionistic painted seascape at dusk with coral-pink sky, deep indigo water, and golden-yellow and turquoise shoreline streaks. The whole inside is lined in soft brushed fleece, collar to hem and down through the sleeves, so the warmth comes from the lining instead of from thickness. The hood is lined in that same fleece and left roomy, with a drawstring for the mornings that bite. And yes — it has pockets. Two of them, set into the front at hip height, deep enough for your phone, your keys and a pair of gloves at once. Lovingly offered by Vivian & Pearl Newport, a family-run boutique since 2006.

Why you'll love the Alondra:

· A whole landscape to wear — an all-over print in indigo, coral, yellow and turquoise, carried from the front around to the back.
· Fleece-lined all the way through — as warm as a heavy coat, and half the burden on your shoulders.
· A cozy hood that keeps the chill off — roomy, fleece-lined, with a drawstring to pull it close.
· A front zipper closure — zip it closed when the chill picks up, or leave it open for easy layering.
· Two deep front pockets — phone, keys and gloves at the same time, so you can leave the purse at home.
· Long enough to cover, easy enough to live in — it falls past the hip and never grips at the middle.
· True to size, S–4XL — cut generous on purpose, to fit the woman, not the other way around. Take one size up if you like a thick sweater underneath.
